Site Rules! Empty
PostSubject: Site Rules!   Site Rules! EmptyTue May 26, 2015 12:57 am

God-modding & Power Playing will get you removed and banned right on the spot! This is not tolerated nor allowed under any circumstances! If you have something planned out ahead of time with another member, that's fine but if you have not told anyone else and they assume you were breaking rules be warned, you will be questioned.

Bullying & Harassment of any form have the same punishments and will not be tolerated either! If you wouldn't like it done to you, then don't do it to others! Plain and simple.

No detailed mating, please use time lapses or fade to black when your wolves choose to reproduce. Also, all wolves (excluding Alphas) must ask permission before mating.

What all may I join as? Are other animals or hunters allowed?
This is a wolf role playing site, remember that, so any other types of animals are not allowed under any circumstances nor are human characters. However, the only exception to this rule is if your wolf is at one of our many areas and they happen to be attacked by some wild animal or on an even more rare occasion, a hunter. An example: "Wolf B was moving through the tall grasses of the Hunting Grounds when they noticed an odd figure just barely behind the treeline. Identifying it as a bear upon closer inspection, it gave chase and clearly had intentions of either killing Wolf B or just running it off." That would be perfectly fine as long as it does not happen too often. If you understand the rules so far, include, "Children of the Moon" in your bio.

May I join as a pup?
For now, we are not allowing members to join as pups unless they are branched between two members. After our ranks have started to fill nicely there is a chance that this rule is subject to change. If too many are being born at the same time we strongly suggest that you wait a bit before having your pups.
(Rule revised 2/16/14: Pups are allowed for the time being.)

How many characters am I allowed?
One starting character per member. The only exception is a character branched from two starting characters (ie. a son or daughter) If you are an active member, you may be granted permission for another non-branched character by our administrators or the owner herself. Remember, only take what you can handle. If you need to lessen the amount of characters you have, there is a few options: either you may kill him/her off, give the wolf to another member. With litters you may give them out the other members too just make sure the person is active enough on the site.

Are disabled wolves allowed?
Other wolf role playing sites may have it in their rules that you may not join as any disabled or impaired wolves but here we allow it to keep the role play interesting. You may join as a blind, deaf or mute wolf. If there are too many wolves a limit will be made.

What is allowed for my wolf's appearance?
This is a realistic wolf rp, keep that in mind, so please NO unusual fur/eye colors, piercings, clothing, wings, horns. Colors that we do approve of are listed as follows: Brown, tan, white, grey, cinnamon, black, red, or any mixes of those previously listed. For eyes colors, we approve of: amber, silver, blue, copper, off grey, green.

Names, Pictures and Bios

Names:
Names may NOT contain numbers or other symbols. Please do not use the same name as another member on the site. Also, generic usernames are prohibited! Do NOT create an account with any other name other than that of the character you will be playing (ex: generic123 is NOT an acceptable name). I have noticed that this has become a problem on this site, as well as many other sites. On ND, you will receive a message from administration requesting that you change the name on your account. Failure to comply will result in the deletion of your account.

Pictures:
Please, only REAL photos of wolves as we do not wish to have angry artists at our throats and think we're trying to put them off as our own. Now, if you do draw something for your wolf and would like to display it in the chat section, that is fine as long as it is original artwork and not someone else's that you just edited to fit your wolf or anything.

Wolf Character Bios:
Please be descriptive! I do not expect anyone to type several thousand words but please have at least four or five descriptive sentences for your wolf's personality, appearance and six or more for the back story. With this try to paint a picture, so to speak, give us a good clear image of your character. If you understand this far, include, "From war we grew" in your bio.

Fighting:
Shall a fight ensue, it will be an equal fight which means no god modding or power playing will take place. This means, you cannot dodge or block every move nor can you land every move. Lower ranked wolves who challenge the alpha(s) for rank, the alphas are alphas for a reason and they choose who they give their rank to and when. The only time they could be demoted is if they are no longer active, break any site rules or abuse their powers as head of the pack.
God-modding is something that many cannot stand and it is by no means fair at all. If you are caught, you will be banned no questions asked. We take this seriously.

Territories:
When entering another pack's territory, they have the right to run you off if you pose a threat or are bringing trouble upon their land. Absolutely NO Loners are allowed to cross the borders and run wolves away from that territory, it is already claimed and the Loners have their own land anyways. I have seen this happen once before and it really pissed me off that no one took the proper action to deal with this, on here we do not go for that, we do things fairly. If you and another member of that pack have a plan and have gone over it via PM where a loner does enter the territory, please let administration know so that we do not assume that someone is purposely breaking the rules, this form of doing it is okay as opposed to just deciding to get up and cross over. All neutral areas are open for anyone to enter and go as they please, no wolf should go running anyone off as if they own the area.

Role Play Post Rules:
First off, please label your topics correctly. Here on AND, users are able to post their own topics and have them either open for everyone, or specifically between certain members.
Ex; Trail of Blood (OPEN), Burying The Hatchet (-insert name-)

Each post must consist a minimum of at least 150 words. Add some detail with your posts, let the creativity flow. We do not expect every single post to be an entire book but please try to add as much detail to your posts as possible, those more experienced do get frustrated when they aren't given much to work with. Another thing... GRAMMAR, PUNCTUATION & CAPITALIZATION. No one is perfect, but the more accurate you are the better. If you are unsure how to spell something please use a Spell Checker or ask someone, don't be afraid to. If you agree to follow the rules this far and beyond, include, "A New Dawn" in your joining info.

Common Grammar Mistakes: Since I have placed them here, I should not see anyone using the wrong form of them in a post.

Your & You're:
''Your'' shows belonging, as in ''That's your book bag.".
"You're" is ''you are'' as in,''You're still coming to the party, right?" It shows a state of being.

There, Their & They're:
"There" means a place, as in,''Over there".
"Their" shows belonging, as in,''Wait, that's their property, not ours.".
"They're" is ''they are'', as in,''Yes, they're still in the area.''.

To, Two & Too:
"To" can be used in several ways, such as,''The letter was addressed to him.'' or ''She pulled her coat closer to her.'' Just a few examples.
"Two" symbolizes how many of something, like,''There were only two apples left.''
"Too" means as well, in addition to, etc. and can be used like so."Can they tag along too?"

-At any point in time, all rules are subject to change-
